Side Effects
Common side effects of Amiodar 200 mg are blurred vision or visual halos around light. Amiodarone may affect thyroid gland function. It may also cause skin sensitivity and tremors when you move your arms or legs. Concomitant use with anti-infectives, heart medications, statins, and medicines for brain-related disorders and treatment of hepatitis C must be used cautiously. Concomitant use of drugs like steroids like betamethasone, water pills, high-dose oxygen use during surgery, and general aesthetics.
How to Use
Take Amiodar 200 mg once or twice daily. You may take this medicine before or after consuming food, but it is always best to choose one way. Do not drink grapefruit or juice while using this medicine unless your doctor says you may do so safely. Grapefruit can increase the risk of side effects with Amiodarone. The dose of the medicine is based on the medical condition and response to treatment. Consuming grapefruit juice while taking amiodarone tablets increases the chances of side effects.
