Betavert is a type of medicine called histamine analogue. It is an anti-vertigo drug. It was first registered in Europe in 1970 to treat Meniere’s disease (a disorder of the inner ear). Meniere syndrome symptoms include dizziness, tinnitus, hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and nausea. Ménière’s syndrome is a condition that is caused due to the excess pressure of fluid in the inner ear. This medicine helps to ease and prevent these symptoms.

Product Description
You must share with your doctor the list of all medications you may be using, especially those: Antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine, Agonists, and Monoamine-oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). There may be other medications that may show interaction. Never start a new medication without consulting a doctor.

— Do not use this medication for any other disease without consulting with the doctor
— In case you do not feel comfortable after completing the medication prescribed by your doctor, then consult your doctor immediately
— Do not freeze the medicine and store the medicine at room temperature
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to this active ingredient Betahistine Hydrochloride or any other medicine ingredient. You also need to mention the states if you have:
— A condition called porphyria
— A tumor on your adrenal gland called phaeochromocytoma
— Your age is under 18
— Pregnant or planning to be pregnant soon
— Are breastfeeding women
— Have a problem with high blood pressure
— Have diabetes
— Have asthma
— Have or have ever had a stomach or intestinal ulcer
— Have a history of skin reactions such as rash, hives, itching
— Have hypertension or low blood pressure problem
Side Effects
Betahistine’s common side effects are diarrhoea, nausea, feeling sick, and indigestion. If any of these effects continue for a longer time or become worsen, contact your doctor immediately.
Betahistine Hydrochloride may rarely cause serious side effects such as rash, pruritus, urticaria, dyspepsia, nausea, peptic ulcer disease, headache, dizziness, insomnia, skin swelling, hives, itching, and vomiting.
How to Use
The dosage depends upon your age, weight, medical condition, and response to the treatment. Therefore, your doctor will decide the dose. Take the dose exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
The drug is usually recommended to be taken with food or snacks. The tablet is to be swallowed with a glass of water. Do not break or chew the tablet. You should take the dose until you finish the prescription. Do not change the dose or stop it even if you feel better. You should complete the prescribed dose.
