Duovir Tablet

Do not take Duovir if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any of the active constituents, including Lamivudine and zidovudine. The medicine may weaken your immune system and cause symptoms such as fever, skin sores, pale skin, flu symptoms and mouth sores. Your doctor may perform blood tests while you are taking Zidovudine. Long term usage may contribute to muscle weakness caused by HIV. Get immediate medical help if you witness unusual muscle pain, stomach pain, feeling cold, or tiredness. You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to Lamivudine or Zidovudine. The combination can also cause severe liver problems. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, especially if you are suffering from hepatitis B. Also tell your doctor if you have kidney disease or pancreas disorder.

It is possible to have side effects with Lamivudine and Zidovudine 150+300 mg. So, it is essential to inform your doctor about any change in your health. Temporary side effects of this antiretroviral drug are quite common, especially after you start taking the combination drug. These may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fatigue, abdominal pain, and headache may occur. These side effects are usually mild and go away after a few weeks of the treatment.

Always take Duovir 150+300 mg exactly as your doctor instructs you. Check with your doctor if you are not sure how to take medicine. Usually, it can be taken with food or between meals. Swallow the tablet with water or any other fluid. If you find difficulty swallowing the tablet, you may crush it and take it immediately with some fluid. Could you make sure you take it full dose?
