Do not take Forcan 200 mg tablet if you have ever had an allergic reaction to Fluconazole, or other antifungal agents you used to eliminate the symptoms of a fungal infection.
Tell your doctor immediately if you are taking medications for treating allergies, stomach upsets, mental illness, heart arrhythmia, high blood pressure, blood thinners, diabetes, fits, asthma, antibiotics etc. You must inform your doctor about all the medications that you have been using while receiving the antifungal treatment. You should not take Fluconazole tablets while you are pregnant unless your doctor has advised you.
Side Effects
Like any other medicine, Forcan 200 mg can cause unwanted effects, although not everyone who this medicine gets the side effect. Tell your doctor immediately if you get side effects such as skin rash, swelling of the eyelids, sudden wheeziness, reddening of the skin, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, or severe skin rash that cause severe blistering. Taking Fluconazole may affect your liver and cause loss of appetite, vomiting, tiredness, and yellowing of the skin. Antifungal medicine may also contribute to adrenal insufficiency and cause symptoms such as weight loss, fatigue, abdominal pain, and muscle weakness.
How to Use
Always take Forcan 200 mg exactly as your doctor has prescribed you. You should check with your doctor if you are not sure about how to take the drug. Your doctor may ask you to take Fluconazole tablets with or without food usually once daily for several days or months depending on your condition as well as the severity of symptoms. Do finish the course of tablets even if you feel better and if it may not clear up completely, contact your doctor straight away. You should complete the course prescribed by the doctor, which may be several weeks or even months.
