Loscar 25 mg is also used to protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes. It also decreases the risk of various cardiovascular diseases such as stroke and myocardial infarction. Losartan is an Angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Losartan was the first angiotensin antagonist to be marketed. Losartan Potassium is the active moieties that synergistically reduce the high levels of blood pressure. Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against blood vessel walls. High blood pressure (HBP) means the pressure in your arteries is higher than it should be. Another name for high blood pressure is hypertension. Losacar 25 mg can impair your thinking or reaction. So be careful while driving or doing any other motor activity. Before any surgery, please tell your doctor that you are taking this drug. Side Effects

How to Use
The general recommended drug is 50 mg once daily and can be increased up to 100 mg. The doctor may increase or decrease the dose depending upon the need and severity of the condition.
