Olmezest AM 5/40 mg is a prescription treatment for patients suffering from hypertension, also known as low blood pressure. It contains two prescription medicines, namely amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and Olmeasratn (an angiotensin receptor blocker). The combination medicine may be used alone or other blood pressure-lowering medicines. Hypertension is a chronic condition in which the blood’s force against the artery wall raises, resulting in heart complications including irregular heartbeat, heart attack, stroke, and other complications. The antihypertensive agent blocks a certain chemical in the body and causes blood vessels to relax. This allows more blood to flow all over the body, which reduces the heart’s workload and makes it more efficient at pumping blood all over the body. Lowering blood pressure reduces heart attack or strokes chances.

Do not stop taking Olmezest AM on your own. Your doctor’s approval is needed to change the dose or treatment discontinuation. You should not take Olmeszest AM if you have low blood pressure or blockage in the heart. Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medicine or are allergic to Olmesartan or Amlodipine. Your doctor may ask you to reduce salt intake during the treatment. This helps to relieve the body swelling. Grapefruit juice should not be consumed while taking Olmezest AM.
Side Effects
The most common side effects of Olmeszest are dizziness, sleepiness, headache, taste changes, swelling in your ankles and feet. Talk to your doctor if any of these side effects persist or become troublesome.
How to Use
Your doctor may prescribe Olmesartan/Amlodipine avoid a rise in blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart complications. You can take Olmezest 5/40 mg before or after consuming food with a glass full of water. Do not chew or take a bite of it. Follow your doctors’ advice when taking medicine.
