Volix M 0.2/500mg combines two active ingredients: Voglibose and metformin. It is prescribed for treating type II diabetes in adult patients when diet, exercise, and single agents do not result in adequate glycaemic control.

— Metformin causes a reduction in the hepatic production of glucose, decreasing the intestinal absorption of glucose and enhancing insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake and utilization. Volix M 0.2/500mg is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it, if you have diabetic Ketoacidosis (high amounts of acid in your bloodstream), or if you have severe kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you have these conditions. The antidiabetic agent is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as insufficient data on its safety and effectiveness is available.
Consult your doctor if you consume alcohol, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding. You should not take it if you have type 1 diabetes or diabetic Ketoacidosis (high acid levels in your blood). Before taking this antidiabetic agent, tell your doctor if you have had heart disease.
Side Effects
Volix M 0.2/500 mg shows some side effects like nausea, diarrhoea, taste change, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, etc. However, these side effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few days. If they become troublesome or persist for longer, please consult your doctor.
