Zeptol 200 mg containing Carbamazepine (active ingredient) belongs to the category of drugs known as anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing the occurrence of abnormal nerve impulses in the brain, which can contribute to severe reactions like seizures and acute pain. This seizure medicine may not be suitable for everyone. Before using it, tell your health care specialist if you have ever had depression, difficulty urinating, suicidal thoughts, liver and kidney disease. Side Effects
The most common side effects of Zeptol 200 mg include tiredness, nausea, vomiting, unsteadiness, feeling drowsy. Fortunately, most of these medicines are not serious. Keep taking the medicine but discuss with your health care specialist if any of these side effects troubles you or doesn’t go away. How to Use
Zeptol 200 mg can be used as a monotherapy or in conjunction with other medicines. The dose and how often you need to take it will be decided by your health care specialist. This way you will get the right amount of the medication to control the symptom of seizures. Your health care specialist may increase the dose gradually. You can take the tablet before or after consuming food but prefer taking at the same time each day. The medicine takes up to a couple of weeks to work. Be sure to take it regularly as long as you are advised to take it. Do take it even if you feel well, complete the course. Missing dosing may trigger seizures or may worsen your condition. Note that sudden discontinuation may worsen your symptoms.
