Description
Zo 400 mg contains the active ingredient Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic agent used in adults to treat certain infections caused by certain germs and bacteria. It is unknown if Ofloxacin is safe and works in people under 18. Children under 18 years of age are more likely to get joint, bone, or tendon problems, such as pain or swelling, while taking medicine.
Sometimes, the reason behind infections is the virus and not the bacteria. For example, viral infections in the sinuses and the lungs, such as the common cold or flu. Antibiotics such as Ofloxacin are not active against viruses. Call your doctor if you think your condition is not improving while taking Zo 400 mg.
Product Description
Do not take Zo 400 mg if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic known as a fluoroquinolone or are allergic to any of the ingredients of the medicine. Ask your doctor if you have any doubts.
Tell your doctor about all your medical conditions, including any of the following if you have:
— Central nervous system problems
— Tendon problems
— Low blood pressure or blood potassium
— A history of seizures
— Liver problems
— Kidney problems
— Pregnant or planning to conceive
— Breastfeeding. Ofloxacin may pass into breast milk
Ofloxacin can make you feel dizzy and lightheaded; avoid driving, operating, or indulging in other activities that require mental alertness or coordination until you know how this medicine affects you.
Tell your doctor about all medicines, including prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Ofloxacin and other medicines can affect each other, causing adverse effects. Especially tell your doctor if you take any of the following:
— An oral diabetes medicine or insulin
— A water pill (diuretic)
— An NSAID (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). Many common medicines for pain relief are NSAIDs. Taking an NSAID while you take Zo 400 mg tablets may increase your risk of central nervous system effects and seizures.
— An antipsychotic medicine
— A tricyclic antidepressant
— A steroid medicine

Side Effects
The most common side effects of Zo 400mg include dizziness, diarrhoea, itching, vomiting, headache, sleep problems, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, vaginal inflammation, taste changes, and external genital itching in women. These are not all the possible side effects of Ofloxacin. Tell your doctor about any side effect that bothers you or does not disappear. Call your doctor for medical advice about any unwanted effects.
How to Use
Take Zo 400 mg exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Drink plenty of fluids while taking the tablet. It can be taken before or after consuming food. Do not miss doses, or stop taking medicine, even if you begin to feel better, until you finish your prescribed treatment unless you have a serious allergic reaction or tendon effects.
This will help ensure that all the bacteria are killed and reduce the chance that the bacteria will become resistant to Ofloxacin.
If you miss a dose of Ofloxacin, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take two doses at the same time. Avoid taking more than two doses once a day.
If you take too much of this medicine, call your doctor, or get immediate medical help.
